Our Mission
Educate, Impact the Future through Sustainable Resources at all levels. Sustainable Schools of California is here to help foster relationships between the education and environmental communities that will help prioritize sustainable energy, nutrition, and materials to offset climate change and promote a cleaner environment. We believe our schools should be on the forefront to reduce the carbon footprint and to create cultures that can be a model for future generations. Our goals include working with individual schools, districts, parents, students, and the surrounding communities to build strong coalitions to overcome obstacles and find solutions to reduce waste, increase plant based nutritious meal options, and move towards 100% renewable energy in all California Schools. The hope is that through collaboration these actions will help create a sustainable planet and reduce operating costs that can go back into the classroom. We understand that we cannot do it all, but we can all do something.
