Kathy Rallings (SSCA Founder & President) is a proud longtime member of the education community as an advocate for students, parents,educators, and the community. She is a proven leader as a school board member beginning her third term. Kathy has advocated for responsible and sustainable decisions that
bring all stakeholders together to solve problems. Her passion for environmental justice and California schools motivated her to start this organization to bring together the environmental and education communities. She is convinced that all schools in California can play a vital role in solving the climate crisis and will provide support and leadership to coalitions that will fight for sustainability in our communities centered around our schools.
Rena Marrocco is the Chief Financial Officer As the recently elected school board member for Vista Unified School District in California, she wasted no time becoming a member of her district's Climate Action Committee. Her commitment is to bring and expand sustainability measures for all schools in California.

Josefina Diaz is the Secretary for SSCA and an accomplished professional, mother, and grandmother. Born and raised in West Los Angeles, she holds a degree in Arts & Science and Teaching Credentials from UCLA. She has enjoyed two wonderful careers: one in law enforcement and another as a high school educational instructor.
As a board member of SSCA, Josefina is dedicated to ensuring a sustainable future for both schools and communities. Her goal is to educate and raise awareness about environmental and climate concerns. She emphasizes, “It is imperative that we transform our educational institutes to function with 100% sustainable materials, energy, and consumable meals that don't contribute to the environmental crisis.”
